We have been living with the Corona pandemic for more than a year. A lot has happened in the patient treatment since the senior physician explains which drugs are effective and which are not. Covid-19 can also trigger chronic fatigue syndrome in some infected people.
We are searching the reasons why the disease has so fare been difficult to identify and treat.
It is our self image that we bring knowledge from research on pressing issues to society. An interdisciplinary group of experts has therefore worked out answers to the most important questions about the new type of coronavirus.
Researchers understand better and better how long an infection on vaccination protects against the virus.
Since Covid-19 pandemic represents our society and each of us with immense challenges, Raumfahrt Tech makes important contributions to mastering the corona crises throughout cutting edge research.
According to current studies, the disease Covid-19 caused by SARS-COV-2 comprises at least five different variants. These differ in how the immune system reacts to the infection. This study results could contribute in better treatment against the fight of Covid-19 disease.

Radiation
Radiation is the emission of energy in the form of waves or particles through space or through a material medium. Radiation is often categorized either ionizing or non-ionizing depending on the energy of the radiated particles. Ionizing radiation carries more than 10eV, which is enough to ionize atoms and molecules and break chemical bonds.
A common source of ionizing radiation is radioactive material that emit α, β or γ radiation, consisting of helium nuclei, electrons and photons respectively.
Gamma rays constitute the ionizing part of the electromagnetic spectrum.
The word radiation arises from the phenomenon of waves radiating (i.e. travelling outward in all directions) from a source. This aspect leads to a system of measurements and physical units that are applicable to all types of radiation.
All kinds of radiation are harmful for health and atmosphere. The intensity pf the radiation mainly decides the hazards of radiation. Nominal amount of radiation is beneficial for health and used for treatment of Cancer, etc.

Rare Earth Metals
Rare Earth Metals are also called rare earth elements. It is a set of seventeen metallic elements. Rare earth metals are necessary components of more than 200 products across a wide range of applications. Rare earth metals are necessary for significant defence applications include electronic displays, guidance systems, lasers and radar and sonar systems.
Due to their chemical similarity, the concentrations of rare earth in rocks are only slowly changed by geochemical process, making their proportions useful for geochronology and dating fossils.
The rare earth metals are often found together. During the sequential accretion of the earth, the dense rare earth metals were incorporated into the deeper portions of the planet. Early differentiation of molten materials largely incorporated the rare-earths into mantle rocks. The high field strength and large ionic radii of rare earths make them incompatible with the crystal lattices of most rock-forming minerals, so rare earth metals are chemically very similar and have always been difficult to separate but a gradual decrease in ionic radius called lanthanide contraction.
Rare earth metals can also be enriched in deposits by secondary alteration either by interactions with hydrothermal fluids or meteoric water or by erosion.
Rare earth metals are also useful for dating rocks, as some radioactive isotopes.

They can close the gap between the fluctuating electricity generation from renewable energies and the demand for green electricity, replace fossil fuels in industrial process and link the energy sectors of electricity, heat, industry and transport more closely and do so as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.

With the research activities on hydrogen production, Raumfahrt Tech aims to transfer the result from the laboratory to demonstration systems on an individual scale. Only in this way can hydrogen be extensively used in the energy system and can make an important contribution to climate protection.

Space
The corona virus has been putting life on standby for months. Aerospace research has also been affected. Meanwhile, the inter-nation space station ISS has grown, despite the crises.
Planets orbiting a star are not uncommon. A few thousands of them have already been discovered. Now the telescope of Raumfahrt Tech is supposed to take a closer look at some of them and help to unravel their secrets.

Environment
The atmosphere is a Earth’s thin protective layer that shields us from harmful radiation, moderates temperature differences and redistributes energy, water and pollutants. Most of life depends on it. But this protective function of the atmosphere involves delicate balances and is susceptible to global changes of climate and land use.
Raumfahrt Tech are developing seamless observational and modelling capabilities to unravel the complex interactions between the atmosphere, the land surface and the oceans under climate change.
Our research focuses on change in air quality both globally and in urban areas, the internal causes and effects of climate changes, feedbacks and what kinds of weather and extremes we will have to prepare for the future.
Our research follows a holistic approach. We aim at developing scale crossing observational and modelling solutions for improved atmospheric predictions and regional climate projections at unprecedented resolution.
As a result, we will substantially improve the scientific knowledge base for responding to societal challenges such as global warming, growing world population, land use changes, air quality improvement, water availability and transformation of the energy and mobility systems.
